There are way too many bucket list type ideas that I keep running out of time for, this list included! My oldest is already ten, but he’s traveled way more than I ever did in his first ten years so I’m not too concerned about him missing out on anything.
Our youngest is turning four this December, so there is still time to expose him to some amazing locations around the country that we have yet to see ourselves. Parents magazine included a great list of 10 trips to take before your kid turns 10 in their November issue. Here are just a couple of highlights.
The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art
Amherst, MA
If you love picture books as much as our family does, this is a great place to put on your must visit museums. It includes a library with thousands of picture books, which I would imagine, we would spend most of our time.
Keystone Resort
Colorado
My husband and oldest son are skiiers, while I snowboard. We have yet to determine which one our youngest will pick up, but we do know we love getting away to the snow during winter months and Colorado is definitely on our list of places to go. Keystone offers free skiing for kids 12 and under when you spend at least two nights at their resort. Sounds amazing, right?!
The David F. Bolger Playspace
Sarasota, FL
If your kids are as active as mine are, you’ll love this playspace with an imaginative playground, basket-like swings, a three-story, 12-foot tunnel slide and a small splash area for toddlers. Go visit their site learn more about this space created by The Ringling (of circus fame).
